Biography

Lisa Gimmy, ASLA, LEED AP, came to landscape architecture with an extensive background in art and art history, and her interest in art continues to be the basis for her work in landscape design. Since founding her firm in 1992, she has directed the design of landscapes for campuses, schools, hotels, mixed-use commercial developments, and many private gardens.

Planting design is one of Lisa's particular strengths. Her in-depth knowledge of plant material allows her to develop sophisticated palettes that celebrate color, texture, seasonal change, the beauty of nature, and appropriate use for sustainability. She enjoys collaborating with other designers, contractors, and client groups on complex multi-disciplinary projects.

Lisa Gimmy's work has been recognized with awards of excellence from the American Society of Landscape Architects. Her projects have been published in numerous magazines, including Landscape Architecture, Metropolitan Home, and Los Angeles Magazines.
