Private Landscapes
A mature eucalyptus grove provides the setting for an airy contemporary house designed by Mills Studio. Stepped terraces were created to provide generous spaces for sunning, dining, and entertaining. Three water features - a pool, spa, and cascade, anchor the terraces and encourage movement through the garden to the hillside. Pieces by sculptor Guy Dill provide focal points at the pool terrace and entry gardens. Bold groupings of tree ferns, maples, daylilies, and geraniums were used to create flowing bands of color that complement the grey-green of the surrounding woodland.
